HELVETICA
Helvetica is a feature-length independent film about typography, graphic design and global visual culture. It looks at the proliferation of one typeface (which recently celebrated its 50th birthday in 2007) as part of a larger conversation about the way type affects our lives.
MY REACTION
Well, at first i found it pretty amazing and impressive graphic design...
a simple font that can adjust and used in many artistic ways...
When I first heard it... it gives me an impression that describes it as more likely a boring film, more on words and senseless thoughts.. Honestly, negative thoughts are mostly on my mind that time and i have no courage to watch it except for the little motivation i gain in this words..
"For my grades sake."
But waaaaaaah !! upon watching it, i gain more interesting facts about Helvetica in the graphic world.. It makes us understand the usage of Helvetica even broader..
There are things that we usually use yet we don't care where it comes from and what it's significant role in our lives.. we use to ignore it because we are too busy prioritizing things in our life.. first things first.
Upon watching the film i may now conclude that:
"There are knowledge everywhere and anywhere yet where too busy to pick it one by one."

TAmbara!!
SYPNOSIS OF TAMBARA
Tambara is a film by Ovril C. Bantayan that portrays the beliefs that fairies, deities or gods and goddesses do exist. The characters are namely Lando ( Paul Carreon ), Datu Pikong ( Greg Tecson ), Sheila ( 1998 mutya ng dabaw Joan Magtibay ).
Lando, an elementary teacher that does not believe in myths and faith healer either, accuses that Datu Pikong ( the faith healer ) is capitalizing the townspeople for his benefits. Swept by Lando's fury, he destroy the Tambara ( fairies altar ) which makes the fairies got angry and wanted to give him punishment by getting the life of his wife and child during its deliveration/labor without even knowing that he must pay the debts/ costs of what he have done.
Lando was forced to face circumstances which pushed him to desperately resort to the Balyan only to realize that not everything in this world can be spelled solely with the human knowledge.

My Reaction & Reflection
TAMBARA
Tambara is an independent film by Ovril C. Bantayan that shows how myths affects human beliefs and nature. Not just that, it teaches us how to respect one another's beliefs.
One lesson i learned from it is that "if you interfere someones doing without any reason or if it is not bothering you, I tell you, you may suffer the costs of it." that's the "Law Of Karma".
I admit it that Tambara is a weird film at first because it shows some weird doings such as invisible cellphone that can contact fairies, then that weird rituals that is unusual in my eyes but first impression is sometimes wrong; As the story goes on I realized that everything that has been shown is all in purpose, to show the beliefs of our ancestors during the time that theories and other scientific explanation of a thing, didn't exist.
Tambara gives us knowledge about the situation of those who live in Rural areas... Tambara film makes my eyes see the happenings in real life, the situation and how hard it is for them to live in place where modern technology doesn't exist..
If you agree or disagree with me pls. comment below..
